Echoing statements he has made publicly before, YDA President David Hardt released a statement today declaring that he will not announce who he intends to cast his superdelegate vote for until all remaining contests have concluded.
"We have seen unprecedented turnout among young voters this election cycle. A true Young Voter Revolution is underfoot. Nearly six million young people have participated in our primary process thus far. With just five contests left, I will wait to declare my superdelegate vote until every young voter has made their voice heard. The Young Democrats of America will proudly unite behind our nominee."

David Hardt – I certainly understand your position on not endorsing until all the votes are cast. However, we are now, on June 1st, at a point where Sen. Obama can be our “presumptive nominee”. The DNC Rules meeting has now settled the issue of seating FL and MI delegates. Sen. Clinton cannot achieve the number needed to be the nominee – Sen. Obama can…and WILL !! Please endorse now, or as soon after final votes are cast on June 3rd.
Thank you for all you do; I was a “Young Dem” back in the day…you must be very excited at the enthusiasm in this election cycle (I know I am!!
To the WH – Please help !!!
Sincerely,
Carlene Mayer
