This Saturday, in celebration of President Obama’s birthday and our record-number of youth DNC delegates, we’ve planned Young Democrat Day.  YD Day is a service-minded day of events stretched across all 500 miles of North Carolina from one end to the other (Murphy-to-Manteo).

All over the state, Young Democrats will spend the weekend making a difference. Gaston YDs will be helpM distribute school supplies, Mecklenburg YDs will donate blood, Guilford YDs will collect cans to combat a shortage at the local food bank, and YDs from Asheville to Wilmington will register voters. Members of our executive board will be making the trek from the mountains to the Outer Banks in an effort to engage young people Additionally, young candidates across North Carolina will make a splash in their local races as YDNC Officers travel from Murphy to Manteo on August 4 to meet as many of these good democrats as possible!

Please sign up to join us in your local community.

If you can't make it, we encourage you to follow the day's events on Twitter using the hashtag #YDDay. You can also RSVP on Facebook!
